Welcome to The International High School
Truly international
We are the only high school in the Gothenburg region where all programmes are taught in English. The school offers four different programmes. The International High School is located in the heart of Gothenburg, but your classmates and teachers are from all over the world. It is the small local school with a broad international perspective.
Truly prepared
Students who have graduated from The International High School have continued to study and work in a wide array of fields and in many different parts of the world. The International High School is a great choice for students who want to be prepared for university and want to experience an environment where different cultures meet and truly interact! You can choose between International Baccalaureate Programme, Natural Science Programme, Social Science Programme, and Social Science Programme with Advanced English.
Truly inclusive
As a student at the International High School, you will gain an international perspective and prepare for studying at universities both in Sweden and abroad. Both the students and staff have diverse international backgrounds. You will meet, communicate, and work together with others in an international environment on a daily basis, broadening your mind, perspective, and knowledge.
The official languages of the school are English and Swedish, but in the hallways you can also hear Spanish, Mandarin, Farsi, Arabic, Italian, French and many other languages. As a student, you can choose from a broad range of extra-curricular activities, for example, The Photo and Film Society, The Running Group and many others.
